You Grow Through the Example of Jesus Christ

Written by Joe Dardano

Personal growth which involves greater intellectual and emotional capacity involves greater inner wisdom and knowledge. Jesus Christ represents many things, God himself, justice, teacher, savior, among many blessings for humanity. He also represents growth (Isaiah 11:1). The reality of Jesus Christ, the one ultimate Truth and objective reality in the universe, is the embodiment of knowledge and wisdom which facilitates human growth:  “On him will rest the spirit of Yahweh, the spirit of wisdom and insight, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and fear of Yahweh” (Isaiah 11:2). One of the keys to spur on personal development is the inner discipline and dedication to habits and being faithful to keeping them active and experienced on a daily basis. In Isaiah 11:5, we read this concept as, “Uprightness will be the belt around his waist, and constancy the belt about his hips.” Jesus Christ teaches us to be holy and righteous in actions and spirit and to demonstrate this ethic through constant habits practised daily. At the end of the day, this basically involves perseverance to discipline and a lifestyle that leads us to Heaven (Romans 15:5). Not only will this way of living lead us all to Heaven when our time on earth is over, but abundant fruit will result on earth (Matthew 3:8). Through a careful reading of the Bible, we know how important the production of fruit is to the Kingdom of God (Matthew 7:9).
