The destiny for all Christians is to live with God in eternal life, which includes being in peace and filled with joy. These benefits of the Christian Way should, in theory, be part of our earthly life today. If it is not present, then we need to clean up our lives, repent and seek the face of God moment by moment in faith. In our contemporary culture, it is common for some people who believe from a non-Christian Marxist perspective that some people living “as marginalized” need justice and have their rights recognized within society. Has it ever occurred to those left-leaning people that a person is capable of putting themselves into a “marginalized” category through sin? If we all have free will, then isnt “marginalization” a product of our own choices? If you truly believe in God and commit to following that Way of Christ, then you really should not feel that you are marginalized. We are all one in Christ (Galatians 3:28). The telling sign that one is living in faith is joy. The joy of living in Christ is an indication that the Spirit of Jesus is inside that person. So when you see groups protesting in living in perpetual anger, fighting, antagonizing and marching in anger, you see people who need inner joy. The Word of God in Isaiah 62 tells us that this joy comes through being in union with others. Isolation, poverty and injustice brings sorrow. The injustice mentioned in Isaiah 62 involves working for the fruit of the land that eventually goes to the foreigner. Justice involves reaping the fruits of our labour and if that is not happening, then we need look no further than our own sins. We need to turn away from the cultural wars and repent of our sins. We need not fall into the trap of believing everything we read in media. Think about this: the media is there to get people angry and sell news. They do not necessarily report facts. Their whole raison d’etre is to genenerate revenue by creating and selling hatred, racism and injustice, even if the news is fake in some cases. For peace and inner joy, we need to pursue the Good News of Jesus Christ who loves us so much that he died for us. A big part of this shift in perspective is dropping out of the “blaming others game” and look within. Stop blaming and start repenting. This involves pure honesty and it will lead you to a life of joy.
