We are creatures of nature and so we often will lean on what we can sense, see, and touch. However, we have the capacity to be heirs of the Spirit of God if we truly believe in Him. And if we put our trust toward the living God, we will eventually discover that the most powerful forces in our lives are things we do not see, the invisible: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible” (Hebrews 11:1-3). The seen universe is made from unseen hands and mind. That is certainly more powerful than the things we can touch and feel. The creator is much more powerful and impactful than the created. So when we face turbulence or hardship in things we can see and touch: debt, loss of work, broken relationships, etc…Should we not then place our hope in the unseen God to bring healing, reconciliation, unity and prosperity? After all, that is where the greater power is sourced; and it is accessed through prayer.
