In the Bible, Jesus discussed the Kingdom of God more than any other topic. The second most discussed topic is money. Of the 39 parables, 11 are about money. Why? Money is important. Money is important because in the eyes of God, it needs to be understood and valued in its proper context within the Kingdom of God. First seek the Kingdom of God and then the rest will be provided (Matthew 6:33). The Kingdom of God comes first, money is secondary. But most people work for money and are slaves to it. Most people value money above all things. But God teaches us to value the Kingdom of God above everything else. God wants us to not work for money but to have money work for us. The parable of the talents is a great example where hard work, trading and investing multiplied the original investment. That parable is an excellent example of money working for us. If we are ignorant about how money works, and find that almost 30% of all Biblical parables deal with money, do you believe we need to spend time learning about how money operates? If we do not study the Scriptures, we lose our priorities. Learn about money & prosper !
