Is the Lord Your Shepherd?

Written by Joe Dardano
Is financial worry bringing you down? Is living from paycheck to paycheck a way of life for you that is causing unwanted stress? The path to get out of this cycle is simple and clear—Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.” It may take time to turn things around but the journey begins with surrendering your will and thoughts to the governance of God over your finances. When you make God your financial guru, your authentic shepherd, you will not lack anything. This scripture offers great hope. The measure of one’s commitment to this scripture is the condition of one’s heart. Do you feel that God is in charge? Or do does your heart beat with worry when a bill arrives in the mail? If you think God is in control but you still feel insecure, your faith needs work. You need to keep praying this verse daily, several times a day and when expenses arrive, bring them to Jesus. You need to keep making these acts of faith until your heart, your feeling centre, truly believes God is the Lord of all your financial affairs.
