Increase is an Eternal Instinct

Written by Joe Dardano

Moving forward toward heaven is an eternal instinct we are born with. From birth, we are endowed with a predisposition to increase, grow larger within and without so that we progressively move onward toward God, incrementally throughout our lives until we reach our eternal home in Heaven. Signs of this journey are given to us and we find them visible on earth. When practical fruit appear in our lives, in our families, we have evidence that God is blessing us. When prosperity is evident, when children are born, grow and prosper in their environments, then we have proof that God is working in our midst. We must pray for such signs and for these results in our families. A big part of creating such an environment is to be and remain in prayer moment by moment, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Fathers need to lead in prayer and call upon God to bring a hedge of protection for their families. The evil one’s tactics to destroy families involves bringing down fathers and leaving families without men to serve and protect. Men, you must lead, be strong and live to fulfill your eternal destinies. But please do not take my word; read it for yourself in the Bible: “Blessed are all who fear the LORD, and who walk in his ways. What your hands provide you will enjoy; you will be blessed and prosper.Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your home,Your children like young olive plants around your table. Just so will the man be blessed who fears the LORD. May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see Jerusalem’s prosperity all the days of your life, and live to see your children’s children. Peace upon Israel!” (Psalm 128) The blessing of increase is implanted within all men; however, men have the choice to either work to nourish this instinct and allow it to grow or suffocate the seeds and have it dry up and die in poverty. We are gateways for heaven or hell to pass through our lives. If we cling to Jesus Christ, then He will give us the power to live in God’s Kingdom moment by moment. It is only possible through His power, not ours, but we must be willing to submit to Him and not to the power of darkness. If we are not witnessing these wonderful signs in our lives, we need only look inside ourselves and ask, “what sin(s) are preventing us and our families from succeeding in prosperity and fruitfulness?” Once we repent and clean up our lives, good things will follow.
