Why Does God Love Profit?

Written by Joe Dardano

God loves profit because he loves people and He wants all people to have the best in life. However, we cannot experience wealth, advancement and prosperity if we do not want it. To obtain the slice of the pie, we need to be intentional and express our desrires continually. We need to have hope and move forward with the plans God has for us. That is manifested in us through human desire. We need to express our desires to God; if they are hidden or delayed, sickness results. Recall Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” Our desires within, are signs from God pointing us to the plans He has laid out beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). The key is that we need to be honest with God with what we want. This is not selfish. It is merely admitting the longings that God has implanted in us and that we acknowledge them and decide to move ahead to have them fulfilled. If we deny them, we deny God’s plans for us. It is like the sin against the Holy Spirit, “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men” (Matthew 12:31). God forgives all sins, but if we deny we have sinned or do not repent, God will not forgive. How can God forgive an unrepented sin? The same goes for abundance. God wants the best for us, but if we turn our backs to that promise, we will live in poverty, trying to survive paycheck to paycheck. If you want, you need to ask. And remember, our God is a God of abundance, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing” (Psalm 23:1).
