Think you have the right to cheat your employer or the government? Feel you have the right to back out of financial commitments ? God tells us that how you manage earthly goods is a sign of how you will deal with heavenly matters: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” (Luke 16: 10-12) Our conduct in heaven will be influenced by our conduct on earth. So when we make a tiny little act of honesty like declaring income for taxes or making a credit card payment on time, we cement those worldly acts into our heavenly bank account by showing God we can be responsible for earthly matters, so He can trust us in divine business. The ultimate business plan is to get into heaven, so be assured your honesty & integrity on earth will be rewarded eventually.
