In Psalm 24:1 we read, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” This scripture encourages us to put our trust in the invisible God who holds all things in the palm of His hand. God the Father is the God of plenty, not the God of scarcity. There was never a need that did not have its own supply residing within it. There has never been a question that did not have its own answer concealed within it. The answer grows out of the question, and fulfillment out of every need. Love comes out of every longing. This is how Matthew 7:7 is made clear: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” The search for things that are not, contain the seed that leads to its fulfillment. Therefore, to strive for things is a Godly activity, for desire is natural to human beings. The wisdom of God in Matthew 7:7 tells us that this activity of striving and seeking will have answers. We just need to persevere and keep pushing ahead.
