The greatness of God is unsearchable. His awesome power and grandeur is incapable of being grasped. Our minds are not designed to take in the glory and majesty of God from one end to the other. Its just too much for our temporal mindsets. We are asked to rely on faith to consider God’s capability: “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable.” (Psalm 145: 3) Take for a moment and think about something that is “unsearchable.” You cannot see or feel it. You cannot begin to systematically track it down because it is not possible. You can only sense it within, experience it individually and sit in gratitude for this reality. This is not in the realm of science; you cannot prove it. But you can appreciate it and share this appreciation with others to encourage their faith. This is where proclaiming the faith by witness comes in. Because God’s greatness is found in the experiential realm of an inner Kingdom of God, this divine presence requires personal witness to spread the knowledge. And like the mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, when planted, sprouts & grows into the largest tree. Faith grows through sharing. This brings us to the pertinent Bible verse for today: “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)
