The Power of Love

Written by Joe Dardano

Things go your way, prayers that you make come true, when feelings of love are attached to intentions. Love is the force that moves the world (Gal. 5:6). In the famous love chapter in 1 Corinthians 13, it makes clear that all outward actions of good have no real force or meaning if without love. The main reason for this is that God is love; God is also Truth and an objective reality that will never go away. All other things will end, but not love (1 Cor 13:8). When you love, you participate in an eternal force that is everlasting. When we share or participate in the life of God, we are participating in eternal life. The concept of eternal life is not just the timeless duration of living but also being in communion with God and living as God teaches us to live (John 17:3). Engineering your prayer intentions through love does not take much: “a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough” (Gal 5:9). Never underestimate the power of love and the amount of resources needed to move mountains.
