Why Don’t You See God?

Written by Joe Dardano

God is not seen but heard and sensed within. The Bible says “the Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). God is an inside job. Its not like you can point your finger and locate God for others to see; each person must make an act of faith and decide to follow the path of Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to witness to others the great work God has done for us and pray the spirit moves within their hearts to lead them to eternity: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day” (John 6:44) To experience God, it is prudent to have some quiet time in our daily activities. This allows us to hear the voice of God. My point is driven home when you read this section of Psalm 29: “The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning. The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists the oaks and strips the forests bare” (verses 3 to 9). Notice the Holy Scriptures mentions the “voice of the Lord?” In order to commune with God, we need to settle down in quiet times to listen for His voice. If we move too fast, we may miss His messages. If we are too busy and don’t make time for Him, we lose communication. Stop, wait and listen. Your life will be fully blessed.
