Jesus Does Not Wear Lipstick

Written by Joe Dardano

In Matthew 16:18, the Scripture says, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” The devil and his dark methods, temptations and lies will not overcome the Light of Jesus Christ. In fact, the capacities of darkness are now rendered weak and powerless because Christ’s ressurrection has defeated the enemy. The ressurection is Life and Power that kills the dark. The only way you can allow darkness to win in your life is if you let it take hold within. If you give darkness a path to enter your life, it will take that path and grow. That is why we need strength to resist the dark. We need to view Jesus Christ as Power & Strength to defend us valiantly without fail. We can read Joshua 1:9 as inspiration to be strong and fight: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Jesus Christ is with us wherever we go. Jesus is strong and tough and will defend us upon every attack on our spirit. Jesus is not mild and does not wear lipstick.
