Its the Way We Live

Written by Joe Dardano

Christianity is about the Way we live. That is why in the early church, Christians were not called Christians but people of “The Way.” Christianity is a path, not a physical path or destination you need to travel to, but the physical paths you take in life. Its the incarnation of how you live out what you believe, both consciously and unconsciously. The paths we carve put in life take on more power when our hearts are united with Jesus Christ. When we put our whole hearts and minds and souls in fulfilling the will of God, then power emanates from us. The emotional aspect of living is quite important. Feeling and emotion give power to our thoughts and actions, creating change and bringing us closer to God. In Pslam 86:11, we find this philosophy outlined very clearly: “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart to revere your name.” When we live our lives in “The Way” of Christ, we enter into His truth and beauty. We find fulfillment, and discover His plan for our lives (Ephesians 2:10). If our hearts are divided, we need to pray for healing and unity. We need to relentlessly pursue that healing until wholeness is achieved and our hearts mended.
